Recordings of a lecture held at the Canadian Centre for Architecture, Montréal, Mar. 19, 1998. Gabriel Bodson discusses the changing attitudes towards cemeteries and parks in the 19th century, and compares the two cemeteries of Mount Royal: Notre-Dame des Neiges and Mount Royal Cemetery. The event was organized by Heritage Montréal in collaboration with the CCA and was the fifth in a series of lectures entitled "Les bâtisseurs de la métropole" = "Builders of the Metropolis", presented as a compliment to the exhibition "Montréal métropole, 1880-1930", held at the CCA Mar. 18-May 24, 1998. Includes introductory and closing remarks by Nancy Dunton.
